How this is calculated

CPF contribution rates effective 1 January 2026, for Singapore Citizens and PRs (third year onward) on monthly wages above $750. CPF is charged on the lower of the wage and the 2026 Ordinary Wage ceiling of $8,000/month, so salary above $8,000 attracts no extra CPF. Rates: ≤55 — 37% (17%/20%); 55–60 — 34% (16%/18%); 60–65 — 25% (12.5%/12.5%); 65–70 — 16.5% (9%/7.5%); above 70 — 12.5% (7.5%/5%). Figures are rounded to the nearest dollar — a planning estimate; actual CPF rounding can differ by a dollar, and lower graduated rates apply below $750/month. Source: CPF Board.
